Final Cut Studio 2

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Unleaded just scooped up Final Cut Studio 2, which includes Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Color, Compressor 3, and DVD Studio Pro 4. I’m excited to start working in 3D, especially in Motions new real time 3D editing. I think the most amazing feature of this new suite is the open format timeline. Now you can place all native footage in any format on the same timeline and edit. I can take 720×480 footage from a 5 year old DV tape and place it on the same timeline as 1080 HD p2 card footage I got last week from my HVX200 without any reformatting/rendering. It doesn’t even matter if the footage has different frame rates. Pretty amazing stuff.

Denver Green Screen

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

We’re now offering green screen shooting and editing at Unleaded. I did my first green screen shoot at grad school and immediately fell in love with it. Green Screen shoots are an affordable way to give your website a modern, cutting edge look.

Let me know if you have any questions.

cheers, Mike

TFF Picks

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

Every year I work the Telluride Film Festival and I’ll be providing you with my weekly Film picks. I know this isn’t business related, but I think this is more important than work… especially this first pick, Severance.

This was the first film at Telluride that I witnessed pass holders walk out five minutes into the film. Obviously, this is not a film for everyone, but if you get a chance to see it in your area, make the effort. I can guarantee that you’ll leave feeling short of breath with a smile on your face.
